About Us

Our Mission

CATCH My Breath exists to help young people develop informed, confident, lifelong healthy decision-making skills. By equipping schools, parents, and communities with accurate information and effective learning tools, we aim to reverse the growing trend of youth vaping in the UK.

Our Partnership

CATCH My Breath is delivered by Everyone Health, the exclusive provider of the programme in England. The original CATCH My Breath programme was created by researchers at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health, and is recognised as the only evidence‑based school vaping prevention programme proven to substantially reduce youth vaping rates.

Why Our Work Matters

Youth vaping presents:

  • Increasing nicotine exposure among young people
  • Links to mental health issues and risk behaviours
  • Growing concerns among UK schools and parents
(Comparable U.S. findings highlight high youth vaping prevalence and health risks.) Read More

Our UK adaptation ensures the messaging, scenarios, and guidance accurately reflect UK legislation, culture, and educational needs.

Our Approach

  • Evidence-based
  • Non‑judgemental, supportive tone
  • Culturally and contextually relevant to UK youth
  • Inclusive and representative imagery and messaging

Programme Evidence Base

The original programme is peer‑reviewed and listed in the U.S. SAMHSA Evidence‑Based Resource Guide Series.

Recent Studies Confirm CATCH My Breath’s Effectiveness: Research in 2024–2025 shows significant impact, including a 34% drop in vaping among Tennessee high schoolers and strong prevention outcomes in Appalachia and Canada.

RCT Shows Reduced E-Cigarette Use: An NIH-funded randomized controlled trial with CATCH Global Foundation and UTHealth found students were nearly four times less likely to try e-cigarettes by 8th grade when engaged in the youth vaping prevention program CATCH My Breath.

Its proven effectiveness was published in the journal Public Health Reports (U.S. Surgeon General’s official journal) in 2020. [achehealth.edu] [mmhpi.org]

The UK adaptation maintains these evidence-based principles while tailoring delivery to UK needs.
